ALADDIN

The animated "Aladdin" is my absolute favorite.  It's hard to top Robin Williams as genie.  I wasn't sure if I would like a live-action remake.  But I was pleasantly surprised!

Disney's live-action Aladdin has a wonderful cast and a great twist on the genie story.  I grew up watching Will Smith as a teen, so it was a little weird to see "The Fresh Prince" with blue skin and a top knot.  After I got over that initial weirdness, Will Smith's genie was hilarious and fun.  Naomi Scott brought Jasmine to life in an empowered way.  Her singing voice is also pretty amazing!   {not to mention she wears gorgeous outfits}

Both my eight year old and my five year old loved the live-action version just as much as the original animated version.
