Do you have a Frozen fan at home? You'll be excited {as we are!} about the new FROZEN 2 trailer and images that just released. {My oldest has decided to "let it go" but my youngest is still obsessed with her favorite characters from Frozen.}

Frozen 2

From the Academy Award®-winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez—and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, “Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.

Frozen 2
In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven journey far beyond the gates of Arendelle in search of answers. Featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, “Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters November 22.

Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.

PBS Kids 2019 Summer Programming @PBSKids #PBSKids

Summer is almost here!  Are you wondering how to keep the kids busy while still learning to avoid the summer slide?

PBS Kids
has great summer programming lined up as well as resources and activities.

PBS Kids streaming

To help bridge the summer learning gap and encourage curiosity and exploration throughout the summer months, PBS KIDS invites kids, parents and educators to have fun while they learn with new programming, resources and events for the whole family.

With a new special from READY JET GO!, the highly anticipated premiere of PBS KIDS’ newest animated series MOLLY OF DENALI, and the unveiling of an updated PBS KIDS for Parents website filled with hands-on family activities, there are fun summer learning opportunities for everyone. READY JET GO!: ONE SMALL STEP and MOLLY OF DENALI will premiere on PBS stations (check local listings) and the PBS KIDS 24/7 channel, and will stream on pbskids.org and the free PBS KIDS Video App.

Across the country, local PBS member stations will host READY JET GO! and MOLLY OF DENALI events to connect children to the series through hands-on learning activities.

“Research demonstrates the importance of supporting kids’ learning throughout the summer months,” said Lesli Rotenberg, Chief Programming Executive and General Manager, Children’s Media and Education, PBS. “That’s why every year, PBS KIDS and member stations nationwide offer families resources that bridge the summer learning gap through curiosity-driven learning. This summer, we’re thrilled to offer a full slate of educational and engaging content and activities that encourage kids and parents to play and learn together.”

To help parents and caregivers build upon the educational opportunities presented in these series and more, PBS KIDS is unveiling the new PBS KIDS for Parents site, making thousands of free resources available to the adults in children’s lives. The site includes articles, tips, activities and materials connected to fans’ favorite shows, and relevant topics organized by program curriculum and target ages. All summer long, the site will invite families to “Camp PBS KIDS,” where kids and parents can explore topics like space, reading, weather, cooking with math, world cultures, outdoor fun and more together.

Premieres and streams June 17
Jet and the gang have a fun night planned with a sleepover in Jet’s backyard, mini-golf, and star-gazing—after all, it’s the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing! When Jet reveals that he’s built a brand new super saucer that can take all the kids (and Sunspot) to the Moon, they HAVE to test it out. After a rough landing, the kids realize that a part of the saucer is broken. With Celery and Carrot’s permission, they decide to have their sleepover on the Moon, but after falling asleep they notice Jet and Sunspot have disappeared! Sydney stays behind to work on the saucer while Sean and Mindy venture out to find their friends.

In addition to the new special, a new app, READY JET GO! Space Scouts, will also launch in June. Space Scouts includes 5 games, each fostering kids’ science and engineering skills through building of rovers and astronaut bases; designing and planning missions, and growing gardens across the solar system.

Molly of Dinali

Premieres and streams July 15
Produced by WGBH Boston, the newest PBS KIDS series, MOLLY OF DENALI, will premiere July 15 as the first nationally distributed children’s series in the U.S. to feature a Native American lead character. MOLLY OF DENALI follows 10-year-old Molly Mabary, her dog Suki and her friends Tooey and Trini on their daily adventures, from fishing and building snow forts, to delivering a camera to friends on a volcano via dog sled. Designed to help kids ages 4-8 develop knowledge and skills for interacting with informational texts, the series uses books, field guides, historical archives, maps, charts, posters and more to enhance each of Molly’s adventures.

The Molly of Denali website and digital games will also launch in July, followed by the Molly of Denali mobile app in August, through which kids will use informational text to fish for salmon, create beaded designs and care for sled dogs. A podcast prequel to the series from WGBH, in partnership with PRX and Gen-Z Media, will also be available on mollyofdenalipodcast.org and on your favorite podcast app starting May 30.

In addition to enjoying new episodes of fan favorite shows – including a READY JET GO! special to celebrate the 50th anniversary moon landing – parents can access thousands of kid-friendly learning activities on the new website, such as:

Get out the mad cookies

  • Baking “Get Out the Mad” Cookies. In addition to honing your math skills, cooking and baking can also help with social emotional skills. This recipe helps children manage their feelings like anger and frustration by pounding the dough.
  • Playing a Scent Memory Game. Olfaction – our sense of smell – can help children make connections with their surroundings. Try this game and put your nose to the test!
  • Creating a Literacy Obstacle Course. Alphabetizing, rhyming, spelling and movement activities help kids strengthen one of their most important muscles, the brain.

Make a Galaxy in a Jar

  • Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing. From creating a  Galaxy in a Jar to making Bite-Sized Planet Pops, a variety of space-themed activities are available on the PBS KIDS for Parents site.

Cinderella: Anniversary Edition Coming to Blu-ray June 25th Plus #Giveaway #Cinderella #Sponsored

This post is sponsored but all opinions are our own.

"A dream is a wish your heart makes..."

Cinderella Blu-ray
©2019 Disney
You can't help but get nostalgic when you hear the songs from Cinderella.  It is a favorite in our house, especially with my youngest who wears tutus and princess dresses on a daily basis.  We are super excited about the release of Cinderella: Anniversary Edition from the Walt Disney Signature Collection!

In honor of its upcoming 70th anniversary, the timeless animated classic “Cinderella” waltzes into the highly celebrated Walt Disney Signature Collection and the hearts of a whole new generation. The enchanting tale, which showed us that dreams really do come true — and inspired countless fans to reenact the Royal Ball and Cinderella’s infamous midnight dash — arrives home Digitally in HD and Movies Anywhere on June 18, and on Blu-ray™ and DVD on June 25.

Cinderella Anniversary Edition

“Cinderella” is the ninth title to join the Walt Disney Signature Collection, which includes groundbreaking films created or inspired by the imagination and legacy of Walt Disney, featuring timeless stories and characters that have touched generations. The film takes its place alongside “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Pinocchio,” “Bambi,” “The Lion King,” “Lady and the Tramp,” “Peter Pan” and “The Little Mermaid.”

The Anniversary Edition of “Cinderella” offers two all-new extras: “Cinderella” trivia and fun facts, hosted by Ruth Righi and Ava Kolker from Disney Channel’s “Sydney to the Max,” and “In Walt’s Words: Enhanced Edition,” a special edition of “Cinderella” featuring fascinating production details, original storyboards, archival photos, thumbnail sketches and transcripts throughout the feature film.

Hours of classic bonus material celebrates the masterful animation, memorable music and long-lasting impact of “Cinderella,” showcasing Walt Disney’s core group of animators, the art of Disney Legend Mary Blair, the original demo recording of the film’s title song and Cinderella’s iconic glass slipper.

©2019 Disney
Recently added to the prestigious National Film Registry, the animated classic centers on kind and hardworking Cinderella, who is ordered around by her cruel stepmother, her awful stepsisters — even the big clock in the church tower tells her when to start another day of drudgery. But they can't stop her from dreaming, and Cinderella has faith that someday her wishes will come true.

When an invitation to the royal ball arrives, Cinderella is sure her time has come — until her stepsisters, with the encouragement of Lady Tremaine, tear her gown to shreds. Just when Cinderella believes all is lost, her Fairy Godmother appears, and with a wave of her wand and “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo,” transforms an ordinary pumpkin into a magnificent coach and Cinderella’s rags into a gorgeous gown, then sends her off to the Royal Ball.

But Cinderella’s enchanted evening must end when the spell is broken at midnight. It will take the help of her daring animal mice friends and a perfect fit into a glass slipper to create the ultimate fairy tale ending.
