Poldark fans rejoice!  Poldark Season 3 {full-length UK edition} is now available on Blu-ray so you can binge watch and get through #Poldarkness until Season 4.  {Sigh.  Why oh why PBS Masterpiece do you make us wait so long in the US?}

1794: War and the revolution in France hang over Britain. In Cornwall, George Warleggan grows his empire with a view to crush the Poldarks while Ross and Demelza attempt to keep the peace and repair their relationship at Nampara. However, the arrival of Demelza's brothers disturbs the fragile truce and Ross must ask himself how long he can allow George's ascent to continue unchecked. Facing battles both at home and abroad, will Ross answer the call and risk losing everything he holds dear?

Not sure what Poldark is all about?  Let me clue you in.  If you're a fan of high quality period dramas, this is one you do NOT want to miss.

PBS Masterpiece's series Poldark is based upon the popular book series by Winston Graham.  It follows the story of Ross Poldark {Aidan Turner}, a British Army officer who returns home to Cornwall after the American Revolution.  He finds that his fiancé, Elizabeth{Heida Reed}, thought he was dead, and is engaged to his cousin Frances.  Thus begins a whole host of drama, as Ross is still in love with Elizabeth.  Ross' obsession for Elizabeth affects his life in many ways, including his marriage to Demelza {Eleanor Tomlinson}.  I will not say much more so that I don't give any spoilers if you haven't caught up on Season 1 and 2.

There are many layers to Ross' story, and each layer reveals more about his character.  Sometimes you cheer for him, and other times you get angry with him.  But it's such a beautifully woven tapestry that you can't stop watching it unfold.  With the gorgeous views of Cornwall, beautiful costumes, superb {and not bad looking either} actors, and gritty true-life contrast between rich and poor during the 18th century, this is my absolute favorite series since Downton Abbey ended!

Season 3 begins in 1794, with revolution rocking France and impacting Britain.  Not only is there a physical battle going on, but there is a personal one at home for Ross.  He and Demelza are trying to repair their tenuous relationship.

We also see the tumultuous love
 story of Morwenna and Drake.  While the plot is a little more slow moving in Season 3, there are many simmering issues explored.
