WONDER The Movie in Theaters November 17th #Sponsored #WondertheMovie #ChooseKind

I received promotional materials for Wonder the movie.  All opinions are mine.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and in my daughter's classroom they are focusing on kindness.  It's such a simple concept but so important to model with our children.  They are like little sponges that absorb everything.  I want my children to have empathy for others and treat people the way they would want to be treated.

WONDER, which deals with these themes, has been adapted from a book into a movie coming to theaters November 17th.  And it's a movie you {and your kids} need to see.

New York Times Bestseller, books made into movies

Based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to find their compassion and acceptance, Auggie’s extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

Courage. Kindness. Friendship. Character. These are the qualities that define us as human beings, and propel us, on occasion, to greatness.”
R.J. Palacio

“If every person in this room made it a rule that wherever you are, whenever you can, you will try to act a little kinder than is necessary - the world really would be a better place. And if you do this, if you act just a little kinder than is necessary, someone else, somewhere, someday, may recognize in you, in every single one of you, the face of God.”
R.J. Palacio

I love the powerful messages in this film!  I highly encourage you to also read the book too, if possible, before seeing the movie.  And bring tissues.   I have a feeling you'll need them.  {I tear up just watching the movie trailer}
