Jennifer Lawrence stars as Katniss Everdeen, who began her journey fighting to survive the brutal Hunger Games, and rose to lead the rebellion against Panem’s tyrannical president (Donald Sutherland). Now, Katniss and a team of rebels from District 13 prepare for the epic battle that will decide Panem’s future.

Based on the third novel in Suzanne Collins’ trilogy, the must-own limited edition Blu-ray release is packed with over five hours of special features, including the “Pawns No More: Making The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 8-part documentary – an in-depth look at the making of the film from production design, costumes, hair, make-up, stunts, special effects and post production.

The documentary also includes a touching piece – from the last day of shooting – in which the cast reflects on their experience shooting the four films. Also included is a detailed look at Cinna’s sketchbook and a walk through the on-set photography along with audio commentary by director.

I was first introduced to The Hunger Games when my son began reading the book series.  He wanted to see the movie, so I bought the tickets, not really familiar with what it was about.

It was my first time watching a dystopian society, and I have to say I walked out of the theater feeling very disturbed by it.  The whole concept of children being put through "games" by a dictator to keep the peace in their world was something hard to swallow.  And it should be.  It draws light on some very serious topics for young adults.

I've watched all of the movies up to this point and was looking forward to seeing how it all ends.  Katniss is a strong female character who tries to live by a moral compass, but is also faced with some very difficult decisions.  It isn't your usual black or white good vs. evil type story; there are some shades of grey that really cause you to think and will open up some good conversations with your teens.

Katniss Everdeen

In The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, you see Katniss fueling the fire of revolution against the Capital.  Every step of the journey is faced with challenges, including her friend Peeta who has been programmed to kill her.

And just as in the previous films, there is a lot of loss.  This film deals with the horrors of war, and just how far one is willing to go to stop evil.  I don't want to spoil any of the plot for you, but I can tell you that it comes to a satisfying conclusion.

If you're a fan, you'll want to own the final chapter in The Hunger Games franchise!

Also available for the first time as a set on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD, The Hunger Games Complete 4-Film Collection includes The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 with all of the special features from each film’s initial release plus hours of all-new exclusive content including 13 never-before-seen deleted scenes from The Hunger Games and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and two all-new featurettes: “Picturing Panem” and “Capitol Cuisine.”

  1. My favorite character is Katniss because she is strong even when she is scared. She knows what she knows and does not allow herself to be misled for very long.

  2. i actually dont have a fave yet, but the movies look so darn good.

  3. I have seen the movies but don't really have a favorite. Just love all the characters.

  4. My favorite character from the series is Katniss because she's so brave, even when she's scared. She's such a great role model. She always risks her neck for what is right, which is something to admire.

There are many people in the world who would rather turn their head and keep it moving instead of speaking out and doing something to benefit others. Katniss, in my opinion, is a true hero because she stood up against the Capitol and went through horrific things for the benefit of others. At the end you see her with her kids and you feel relieved because they wouldn't have to live as she once had to, they wouldn't be chosen or have to volunteer as tribute when their sibling is randomly selected to endure The Hunger Games.

Katniss is a truly admirable character. I would love to win a copy of this movie so I could complete my Hunger Games Blu-ray collection!

  5. My Favorite character is Katniss because she tries to do the right thing even if it affects her or people she loves

  6. Katniss is my favorite character from the Hunger Games movies, because she's a strong woman in that she never gives up, no matter what comes her way. She's caring for others as well.

  7. My favorite character is Katniss. She overcomes all odds even when she thought there was no chance of doing so. When she volunteers for the Hunger Games in place of her sister, she shows her true character as a loving sister.

  8. My Fu is Katniss because she is a strong brave character who cares about others and is willing to fight for what she believes in.

  9. I love Katniss. She was great playing the game and her and Peta worked well together.

  10. I like Katniss the best because she cares about her family and wants to always do the right things.

  11. My favorite character is Katniss because she is brave, smart and determined.

  12. Katniss, her passion and her light is as bright as the sun!

  13. Gale Hawthorne. He is Katniss's best friend in District 12. He helps to save her and Peeta. He is an unsung hero in the movie. I also like Haymitch's character, he is her advisor. His character I find entertaining in between being drunk and slightly admiral.

  14. That's a tough one, but I gotta say Katniss- she's such a badass, but I do love Finnick.

  15. I love Peeta. He is so so sweet, strong, and self sacrificing. #teamPeeta

  16. My favorite character is Katniss. She is a brave hero. I also like her sister, Prim.

  17. I love Katniss because she's strong and confident and will do anything for the ones she loves.
