From kids to adults, there's something for everyone to enjoy when watching a VeggieTales movie. The songs are catchy, the plot lines are creative, the jokes are funny, and there is always a great lesson with the story. And they make vegetables more appealing so it's a win-win all around!
The latest DVD Beauty & The Beet is featured in our Holiday Gift Guide. {I've been a long time fan as you can see from last year's Merry Larry Christmas Operation Christmas Child Party}
Synopsis:
Mirabelle and her traveling family band, the VeggieTones, are determined to make their next gig at Vegetable Square Garden. On their journey, a fierce winter snowstorm hits, and the family gets stuck at a run-down resort! Mr. Beet, the grumpy manager makes them sing - and clean - for their supper. Why is Mr Beet such a beast? And can Mirabelle’s kindness change him? Find out in this hilarious and heartwarming tale of unconditional love! Featuring 8 Songs performed by Kellie Pickler as “Mirabelle.”
My daughter absolutely loves this take on the Beauty and the Beast story! The overall theme is unconditional love and it clearly gives the message to kids that God loves us all, even when we are being a bit "beastly." Kellie Pickler was very charming as Mirabelle and AK enjoyed all of the music. She really giggled over the new Silly Songs with Larry "Mac and Cheese".
We also like the great Bonus Features including the "VeggieTales Deck The Halls" Sing-Along, the "Show You Love" Sing-along, and a Very Veggie Jukebox.
There are also some fun Downloadable Activities like recipes for Veggie Snow Cream, Mirabelle's Chocolate Strawberries, and Beet's Alpine Suites Famous Brownies in a Mug.
Your kids can have a blast with coloring pages and crafts to make holiday movie night even more special!
