Take Care of Yourself at CVS MinuteClinic @minuteclinic #MC #sponsored

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for CVS MinuteClinic. I received promotional items as a thank you for participating.

It's that time of year when colds, flu, and all kinds of other pesky bugs hit.  Our family recently just went through this over Thanksgiving with fever and congestion.  It hits when you least expect or want it.  And sometimes your primary care doctor or pediatrician's office is booked full.  So where can you go if you need to see someone right away outside of normal hours?

MinuteClinic can be a convenient an affordable option, especially during the winter months when doctor offices may not be able to provide a timely appointment and the ER and urgent care centers have longer wait times and higher costs.

MinuteClinic and CVS are a great one-stop shop for your cough, cold and flu needs. You can visit MinuteClinic to get your flu shot, get a diagnosis for your cold or flu illness, and pick up wintertime cough and cold essentials at CVS.  And you can even get your child's sports physical too!  They have board certified Nurse Practitioners and Physician assistants available to diagnose and treat common ailments like ear infections or strep throat.

My hubby & I had our flu shots at the MinuteClinic and it was fairly easy.  Just fill out the paperwork and wait for the tech to give you your shot.  (wait times vary depending on how busy the pharmacy is) Plus, we received a 20% shopping pass to use that day.

The MinuteClinic is a walk-in clinic located in select CVS/pharmacy stores in 28 states and DC. They are open 7 days a week with evening hours and you don’t need to make an appointment!  Just walk right in.  They accept most insurance and other forms of payment.

MinuteClinic shares visit summaries with your primary
care provider (with your permission).  They also provide a list of physicians in the area accepting new patients if you do not already have a primary care provider.

It's reassuring to know that you have an affordable alternative when someone in your family gets sick and can't wait for the doctor's office to open.
