
Attention all Book Lovers:
This weekend Sept 21-22 is the 13th annual Library of Congress National Book Festival on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
This FREE event will occur rain or shine. Come for presentations from over 100 authors, illustrators and poets plus book signings and activities throughout the day.
There is a great selection of authors from various genres from children and teens to adults! You should definitely check out the schedule and make a plan so you can visit your favorites.

Between 9th and 14th streets on the National Mall

Their website also has some great activities for kids and resources for teachers. You can download festival bookmarks, learn about writing/illustrating from authors, and play Eye Spy with this year's Festival poster.

How to Get there:
Parking: Metered parking available and garages downtown
Metro: Take blue and orange line to the Smithsonian stop or green and yellow line to Archives/Navy Memorial stop.
