My Son's Review:

Book 1, The Quest for Truth, introduced me to a fun new world in science fiction.  The second book, Risk, continued the adventure of Oliver and his family's quest to discover the secret to the Creator.  The third book in the series, Unleash, was not quite what I expected. I had high expectations that it would up the game and the characters would take more risks.

Unleash has its good points and its bad points.   The positives:  They go back to Jahr Des Eises {the first book's setting} to help Mr. O'Farrell out when they get a mysterious call that someone is coming after him.  There is a really good plot twist with one of the main characters.  And new creatures are introduced that are interesting and intriguing.

The unexpected negatives:  In my opinion, the series is losing its momentum a bit.  It seems like the main mission is getting lost;  perhaps that will be resolved in the next book.   I wasn't very happy with the ending because Oliver can't do anything about what happens.  But again, maybe that is something the author will deal with next time.

Overall, it was a good read but not as excellent as the first two.  I'm hoping that Tangle will exceed my expectations!
