Teaser Tuesdays: A Weekend with Mr. Darcy by Victoria Connelly

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Book meme

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser:

"The restorative powers of Jane Austen never failed.  It was the one thing in life that a girl could rely on, like a good bottle of wine or an expensive box of chocolates  David had dropped his bombshell on a Friday and Katherine had spent the entire weekend on the sofa watching the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice-all six hour-long episodes back to back, laughing and crying her way through the rituals of the Bennet sisters."

  1. Great teaser! Jane Austen books are loved by so very many, and for good reason! :) Here's mine this week : http://www.owl-read-it.blogspot.ca/2012/10/teaser-tuesday-33.html

  2. Great teaser! I think this is my kind of book as I love anything to do with Mr.Darcy (and I too have watched the whole series of Jane Austen love Colin Firth as Mr.Darcy) Thanks for sharing :)

  3. Sounds interesting even though Jane Austen leaves me cold. My teasers are from Full Disclosure by Dee Henderson and The Opposite of Hallelujah by Anna Jarzab. Happy reading!

  4. Since you like Austen, check out my friends Austen Event at her blog; http://vvb32reads.blogspot.com

  5. Great teaser! :D

  6. Will you hold it against me if I admit that I have yet to read anything by Jane Austen? I'm making it a point to read something of hers first before I read any other book about about her so I won't be as confused lol.

  7. This is so much fun!! I will have to join next week!!
