Welcome to the Too Cool For School Giveaway Hop hosted by BloggerPR! It's hard to believe that summer has come to an end and it's time to send the kids back to school. Parents are scrambling to get everything on those school supply lists, so BloggerPR decided to host a giveaway hop to help everyone win some of those back to school necessities!
This event will run from September 1st through 9th, giving you plenty of time to hop down the linky list. Each blogger is giving away prizes valued $20 or more, so you don’t want to miss out!
Looking for a first day of school gift? Or maybe you have little ones at home that feel left out of their older siblings' back to school fun...then this could be the the perfect special item for them! Once you enter this giveaway, scroll all the way down to the bottom for all the other blogs participating.
Good luck and have a great school year!
My baby girl has recently become very interested in books of all kinds. She pulls my books off the shelves, tries to grab her brother's school books, and even carries her board books upstairs to try and sleep with at nap time (I usually have to distract her with one of her stuffed animals so she doesn't notice I'm putting the book aside). It warms this mama's heart to see her curiosity and excitement!
While we have many favorites, I am often on the look-out for different types of books to share with her. One of the unique companies I've found recently is I See Me!. They create personalized hardcover books as well as other personalized gifts for children.
What's so unique about I See Me! is that your child's name doesn't just appear on the cover or title page. It's woven into the story line, making your child feel special and allowing them to relate more to what's happening in the story.
We were sent "Who Loves Me"; a beautiful story that talks about how much your child is loved and involves the family members who love them. It can be personalized for one child, two siblings, or twins. You can choose 6 names (one for each spread) of family members who love your child or if you want more, you can group them like "Mommy and Daddy", "Nana and Papa" etc. You can also select a special dedication for your child.
The illustrations in this book are vibrant and beautiful! (And I am very fond of sunflowers so that really appealed to me) They certainly caught the eye of The Attic Baby. When I showed her the cover, she grabbed the book from me before I could read it to her. She sat and looked at the pictures and spoke in toddler language as though she were reading it all by herself. It has laminated-like thicker pages which makes for a little less worry that they will get ripped by an anxious toddler. However, I did persuade her to let me hold it (just in case.)
Once she allowed me to read it to her, her eyes lit up at the mention of familiar names. There is repetition in the words (great for helping children recite along with the sequencing) and they are rhythmical and poetic. This is definitely a high quality picture book!
I love that you can virtually tour the entire book on the site so you will see exactly the way it will look before you purchase. They make personalizing your special book very easy!
You can also purchase the book with a special personalized lovey to go with it!
