Here is how Aloha Friday works from Kailani's blog An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
One of the ways I try to get my little one to sleep is by singing to her. I made up my own song to the tune of The Bunny Hop. It tends to work like a charm when she is cranky and tired.
My Question For You This Week: What do you do to help your child go to sleep? If you don't have kids, what helps you go to sleep?
limiting anything with caffeine- chocolate, soda, etc. It really makes a big difference for me too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Friday!

I Also sing to my kids they love it but I tend to stick to classics.
ReplyDeleteReading helps me slow down at night and relax before bed. I can read all day and be fine but it does help sleep come on at bed time.

If Princess Nagger is extra wound-up at bedtime, I find that a small glass of milk followed by bedtime reading works wonders. :)

we have a night time routine and i think that helps our kiddos get to sleep more than anything. :)
ReplyDeletewhen my children were little we would give them a bath, read a story while cuddling and then off to bed a routine helps out greatly as well
ReplyDeleteMy kids go to sleep without any problems. As babies I rock them a bit and now I just read them a bed time story, pray with them and kiss them goodnight...sometimes tickles :)
ReplyDeleteWe have the same routine and that signals to him it's time.
ReplyDeleteWe lay with our children until they fall asleep. Pray and I sing the rosary to them.
ReplyDeleteMy son doesn't normally have trouble. We have established a routine and that has always helped him.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are actually really good sleepers. At bedtime they just turn off the lights and go to sleep.
