Here is how Aloha Friday works from Kailani's blog An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
My Question for You This Week: If you have kids, what kind of activities do you have planned for review over the summer?
We will be doing a lot of reading and fun craft activities to help my son work on his writing/fine motor skills. I guess the teacher in me always incorporates educational things into our days.

ReplyDeleteI don't have any kids so no plans for me with kids this summer! Have a great weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteMy kids are grown. The only activity I want them to do is work because they owe me $$$ :)

Nothing! Just kidding - I have a 2 year old, and we'll definitely be working on identifying animals at the zoo! Lately, we've been learning about clouds, thunder and RAIN.

My kids are grown, but I remember going to parks, and programs there.

Lots of playing, napping in the car, and trying to avoid the heat!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is a toddler, but we plan to hit the pool a few times each month on top of swimming lessons in July.
ReplyDeleteWe have swimming and basketball for my eldest and lots of playing on the playground and wading pool for my daughter.
ReplyDeleteVacations and to just have fun as a kid. Like we did as young-ings.

ReplyDeleteI'm a mom of 7, and the 2 main activities we have planned this summer is 1. a weekend trip to an amusement park about an hour away and 2. Visiting one of the zoo's in Chicago. We also do other smaller things like go to the annual air show over lake Michigan, and local carnivals.
Well, we're going to start homeschooling in August, so we'll be reviewing a bit of everything. Until then, I'm giving them time off to do not a lot. :)
