Teaser Tuesdays: A Case for Love by Kaye Dacus

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser:

"Mother's constant harping on her to get married-and soon-was starting to make Alaine feel like something was wrong with her for still being single at her age. The facts that Joe and his wife couldn't have kids and that Tony, at age twenty-six, wasn't anywhere near ready to settle down put all the pressure of producing grandchildren anytime soon on Alaine. And she wasn't even sure she wanted kids."

  1. Okay my favorite book to read is the Bible, so this is my two sentences from:
    Genesis 2:17 “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

    *Sin cost Adam and Eve their lives. Adam and Eve would not have died, if they had not committed the sin of disobedience. Because of their sin, the desire to sin was passed to all generations.

    Have a great day, and may God bless you.

  2. Poor Alaine! :) Thanks for visiting my teaser!

  3. Haven't started harping yet, but I want grandchildren someday too! First (and foremost) comes love though; and as I've told my daughter, "a dishwasher to go with the diamond would be nice."

    Here's mine.

  4. Good one!

  5. Thankfully, this is not pressure I've ever really suffered! Great teaser!
