Teaser Tuesday: Love Finds You In Lonesome Prairie Montana

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser:

"Before he made it two steps, a gunshot split the air. As Isaac spun around, the Indian women screamed, a baby's cry followed, and from outside a dog-Isaac's black-and-white sheepdog, Calamity-yapped."

pg. 24 Love Finds You in Lonesome Prairie Montana by Tricia Goyer & Ocieanna Fleiss

  1. I'm reading The Hope Of Refuge and West with the Night.

  2. I read but not books like that lol. I am more along the lines of religous history and such like TD Jake " Woman thou art loosed" or Beth Moore and Joyce Meyer...

  3. From a book exploring the cost of Christmas (in terms of business profits), "Cancel Christmas," which I'm reading for the Christmas Reading Challenge.

    [[As one of the richest men in the country and the world, he had enormous power. It was too bad that he dedicated his power and wealth solely to his own aggrandizement and the creation of even more wealth, without trying in the very least to do something good.]]

    Bleakheart (the bad guy -- great name!) is taking his power and his "owning" of a politician to try to get a religious holiday away from the rest of life. Funny satiric book, but with some interesting points on the separation of church and state, and the power of money. And you also have others expressing the sentiment of wonderful holidays like Christmas. (and can you believe how quickly that holiday is approaching? Yikes.)

  4. Really fun teaser! Here's mine: http://gofita.blogspot.com/2009/11/teaser-tuesdays-these-is-my-words.html

  5. Great teaser, and I love your background. Here's mine:

  6. Got me wondering about the gun shot....

  8. Consider me teased! What the heck happened after? I don't normally read this books in this setting, but I may have to reconsider now.
