Share Your Thanksgiving Celebrations

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at home this year. It started off with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. One of my friends' and former co-workers' daughters was in the parade on the Macy's star; she was with the Towson University marching band. It was so neat to see a local group in the parade!

Later, my sweet hubby cooked turkey, sweet potato casserole, green beans, and stuffing. For dessert, we had some Mrs. Smith's pumpkin and apple pies. They were delicious! Afterward, we watched Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl. My son loves those movies.

On Black Friday, my in-laws came to visit. We avoided shopping madness and had a fun lunch at one of my favorite restaurants Cheeseburger in Paradise. Then on Saturday, we went to Washington, DC and toured some museums and monuments.

Here is a photo from the WW II Memorial:

  1. I cooked my first turkey this year, so that was exciting. Otherwise it was a pretty quiet Thanksgiving, which is my favorite kind!

  2. I am glad you had such a nice Thanksgiving! Love your new background:)

  3. Sounds like a lovely weekend. Tday was the parade, the dog show, and then off to the in-laws for the feast. The rest of the weekend was getting the tree and house all decked out.

  4. Sounds like so much fun!

I hosted my first Thanksgiving dinner this year and everything actually turned out pretty good! LOL Then we played football in the backyard. We had a great day!

Thanks for dropping by my attic! I love comments! Please keep them family-friendly.
