Aloha Friday: High Low

writing prompts, blogging prompts

Here is how Aloha Friday works from Kailani's blog An Island Life:

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

Some families like to share their highs and lows of the day/week at the dinner table. I thought I'd share my high and low of this week. My high point of the week was cooking with my son. I don't get into cooking very much. I'll admit that I don't have a lot of talent in that department. But I enjoy making a meal with him and seeing his enjoyment. He loves to cook! My low point of the week was when I got my flu shot and felt pretty crummy for a couple of days. I didn't have much energy and felt blah.

My Question for This Week: What was your high & low of the week?

  1. Shelly, I love this. I love this blog as well. We like to share the highs and lows at dinner as well.

  2. You know Superbook? You are one of the few - no one else knew any of my photos :) The other ones are Flying House and Gospel Bill, my other Christian tv shows I watched as a child.

Highs and Lows? Well, the high was signing up to sell Discovery Toys. It's going really well so far! Low? Josh's work is really super stressful right now and that is always a very low point.
    Happy Friday!

  3. My high was scratching out an hour for myself to just sit, smell a nice candle, and read a new magazine - bliss. My low was having to take care of two sickies this week.

  4. My high is getting to talk to my husband on skype... My low? Well, baby B had to get his 2nd flu shot and he was not feeling to great last night... That is the worst feeling, not being able to help him... =(

  5. My high was going to my son's school to paint red ribbons on all the kids' faces. It was really fun! The low was waking up at 3 am because my daughter had wet the bed. No fun at all!

  13. Thats a great question! My low was when I found out my sons Dad(my ex) didn't show up for his scheduled visit with our son who is incarcerated!I was so dissapointed for my son!My high point was watching a young girl I've been mentoring get water baptized!! Have a great weekend and please stop by!

  14. Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest! Your blog is lovely and this idea is positively inspired! My low point this week was also my high point. It involved a batch of pink vanilla icing ~ lucious and sweet! The first bite was delightful! Second, third, fourth... a literal "high" point as the sugar began to course through my veins. I couldn't stop! I must have eaten a half a cup of frosting. The low point came when the sugar high ran out and the guilt began to set in!
