Here is how Aloha Friday works from Kailani's blog An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
One of my favorite things to do is to cuddle up on the couch with a good book. I love to read! Right now, I am reading several books. I switch back and forth between books often. Books are like potato chips; can't read just one! Soon I am going to start Rose House by Tina Ann Forkner for an upcoming Back to School blog tour.
My Question This Week: What are you reading right now?
i recently broke down and read the twilight series so i am reading breaking dawn for the second time. :)
ReplyDeleteI just started Snowflower and the Secret Fan.
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I had an intelligent answer for this! I just bought a couple of books, but haven't had the time to start them yet. Hopefully soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my Aloha Friday!
I am reading
ReplyDeletemy sisters keeper
I am two chapters from the end of the book and love it! It's not all sad and dreary, or at least not yet and I'm almost finished.
I think this is a must read and I can't wait to watch the movie!!
Any suggestions as to what I should read next?
I actually just picked up the Julia Childs biography. I'm planning on watching the movie "Julia and Julia" with my girlfriends!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading The Measure of a Lady by Deeanne Gist.
ReplyDeletei love curling up with a good book, too and i've been doing quite a bit of reading this summer.
ReplyDeletemy son just read the entire series of harry potter books and has talked me into doing the same (i haven't read any but seen every movie). so, that's what i'm reading. i just started the first one.
Right now? Nothing. I know, that's bad. I've been super busy and haven't gotten around to the library for MY book selections. I need to go soon though. Aloha and take care.

I am reading Daniel X for a book review.
ReplyDeleteWow, I have about 4 books going at a time right now. I'm trying to read Catch 22 but not loving it, The Unaccustomed Earth by Jhumpa Lahiri and also Make Him Look Good by Alicia Rodriguez-Valdes.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Daniel X: Watch the Skies by James Patterson.
ReplyDeleteAnna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
ReplyDeleteThe Game Before The Game
ReplyDeleteI was reading The Shack but I lost it. :(
ReplyDeleteI finished 5 books this week, of which my two favorites were Tallgrass by Sandra Dallas and The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart. Wow, those are really different genres. Usually my tastes aren't so varied!
ReplyDeleteI just barely finished the Harry Potter series again. Now I can't decide what to read!

I just finished reading Good Things by Mia King. Tonight I am hoping to read the last 50 pages of the sequel Table Manners that just came out. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading the same book for a while now. I just haven't been into reading. It's called Tribute by Nora Roberts
ReplyDeleteI'm reading a sequel. The first book was called The Tea Rose. The second part is called The Winter Rose. They are by Jennifer Donnelly.
ReplyDeleteI am reading Understanding Other People by Beverly D. Flaxington.
ReplyDeleteI am not reading anything except magazines right now. How can you read more than one book? I would get confused!
ReplyDeleteQueen of Babble Gets Hitched by Meg Cabot - got it free this summer as part of a promotion at the library.
ReplyDeleteI am reading "When God Comes to Church" by my pastor, Steve Gaines. It is an excellent commentary on what church is all about-it is a time to meet to worship the Lord corporately and individually.
ReplyDeleteThank you again for stopping by my site and leaving a comment. I also love roast beef sandwiches and I love pickles on my sandwich.
I hope you will come by the blog often. I write to encourage MOMS in the fine art of Christian mothering. I write Bible studies for MOMS and teach weekly at my church. My boys are grown, married, and building their own household of faith.
On Fridays I host 5 Things Friday. I have just started this meme and hope you will join me and add your list of 5 Things. This next week we will post 5 Things I Know for Sure. Stop by and play along. Blessings to you. Jean
I'm reading Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler. So far so good.
ReplyDeleteNext up The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Great Gatsby.
