Home Alone 25th Anniversary
Get ready to ring in the holiday season as Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment celebrates the 25th anniversary of the biggest live-action comedy of all time with HOME ALONE: ULTIMATE COLLECTOR’S EDITION arriving on Blu-ray and DVD October 6.

This must have gift set features all five films packaged together for the first time in a collectible paint can full of limited edition movie memorabilia that will keep the whole family laughing including a McCallister Christmas ornament, Kevin’s battle plan for the Wet Bandits, his tarantula and a wanted poster of the thieves – Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern) – and more.

Additionally, a gift set featuring HOME ALONE and HOME ALONE 2: LOST IN NEW YORK will be available exclusively at Target and features both films on Blu-ray along with a warm and wearable reproduction of Kevin’s famous winter knit hat from the films.

Home Alone 25th Anniversary

It isn't the holiday season at our house without the annual tradition of watching holiday movies.  And one of my all time favorites is Home Alone!  I watched this when I was 14 and have watched the original film pretty much every Christmas since.  And now I have adopted that tradition with my kids.  It's a holiday classic with lots of laughs, angst, but most importantly, family love.

Home Alone Ultimate Collector's Edition

The Ultimate Collector's Edition celebrates the 25th anniversary (can you believe it's been 25 years?!) of Home Alone and contains all 5 movies and some extra memorabilia in a fun paint can.  If you're a fan of the movies, you'll know the significance of the fake spider, the wanted poster, Kevin's battle plan, and of course, the paint can!  I love the ornament with the classic #HomeAlonePose and can't wait to add that to our tree this year!

Home Alone Ultimate Collector's Edition

It's great to have all 5 of these movies together in one set:  Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital HD) Home Alone 3, Home Alone: Taking Back the House and Home Alone: The Holiday Heist (on DVD) so you can watch them back to back or whenever you want!  Plus there are over 2 hours of extra features for even more fun.

Home ALone 25th Anniversary

I am partial to the first two movies since they have Macaulay Culkin.  I think he was the perfect embodiment of Kevin and they are the movies I grew up with.  The additional movies are good too but you just can't beat Macaulay Culkin in my mind.  The relationship between Kevin and his mom is so sweet and the family dynamics in the first two films really resonates with me.

Home Alone 25th Anniversary

And it brings up great conversations on what NOT to do around strangers and how to keep safe if your child does for some reason get left behind or lost.  The over-the-top heroics of Kevin make everyone in my family laugh out loud!  (though we also have to talk about how we don't do many of those things shown in the movie; kids don't try this at home!)

My favorite part is when they realize that they left Kevin home alone. This was always one of my biggest fears with my kids and it came true. On our way home from vacation once I keft my son's friend at a gas station in NC, It only took me a few minutes of driving before I realized it and eent back to get him. I still get teased about this.
