I received The Longest Ride items for a home date night as a Fox Insider. All opinions are my own.
This past weekend Attic Guy and I had a fun Longest Ride themed date night at home thanks to Fox Entertainment. It's been a while since we have been able to kick back and relax and watch a romantic movie together so this was a nice treat!
We received a Longest Ride bag of goodies for the perfect date night including popcorn, seasonings, and the blu-ray.
Once the kiddos were finally in bed, we prepared our snacks. We were both a bit tired after a long day with the girls, so we kept it simple. Attic guy made some Strawberry Daquiris in the blender, we microwaved our Orville popcorn bowls, added some delicious cheddar cheese seasonings and butter (I kept my plain because of my low-fat diet), and tried a flavor of Chex Mix we'd never had before.
Then it was time to kick up our feet and watch The Longest Ride. (We didn't even clean up the toys. You moms of little ones know how it is!)
I haven't read the book yet, so I didn't know the story line beforehand. It has two love stories intertwined; one current and one from the 1940's during WWII. Cowboys, bull-riding, romance, love and loss and art...I really enjoyed the plot and of course, it made me tear up like only Nicholas Sparks can do.
It has a PG 13 rating but I personally wouldn't allow my teenager to watch it due to the pretty graphic "partial" nudity. This probably would have been rated R when I was growing up. It's definitely a movie for adults.
Want to have a date night at home yourself? The Longest Ride is available now on Blu-ray and DVD so you can grab the movie and pick up these snacks with the Target app. And check out these fun recipes below to add a little pizazz!
