Host a Simple Princess Doll Tea Party with Princess Costume #sponsored

I received a Golden Princess costume from CostumeSuperCenter.com for review purposes.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own and based upon my experience with the product.

My preschooler has a very active imagination; she loves to dress up and role play.  Ever since her princess birthday party when a real Princess visited, her favorite thing to do is dress up like a princess and have tea parties.

I've seen lots of fancy doll and princess party on Pinterest and enjoyed all of the creative ideas there.  But with a baby at home, I have to keep things as simple as possible.  So here are our tips for hosting a Simple Princess Doll Tea Party.

Princess Tea Party

Set the Scene

We used her grammy's crocheted doll blanket as a table cloth. Then we set out two tea sets.  I was going to use some Valentine Candy Hearts to put out on plates but wasn't able to get to the dollar store this week.  {We'll have to try next time}

Invite some Princesses

Ana and Elsa were invited along with Sydney {who isn't a Disney Princess but she enjoys tea too}

Dress for the Occasion

We have a few princess dresses in AK's closet, but this tea party called for something a little fancier.  We were sent this Golden Princess Costume that reminds her of the princess who visited her birthday party.

This gown is absolutely swoon worthy for a Princess.  It has beautiful detail!  There is a basque waistline and an off-the-shoulder neckline made of shiny gold sequin material with a gold rosette accent in the center.  The bodice is adorned with gold trim, and the hoop-like skirt features a gold sequin overlay.  The golden glovelettes are too cute and finish off the look.

The dress is fairly easy to get into with a zip closure in the back.  It takes a little finesse to sit down to tea, but AK did it quite stylishly.  She wore the glovelettes for a few minutes, but chose to take them off to drink her tea.  They wouldn't stay on very well with all of the movement {they have elastic bands to put over your finger but her fingers are a bit small for the loops}.

She loved swishing and twirling in this ball gown and it was the perfect magical dress to have tea with her favorite princesses.  We will definitely be using it for even more fun occasions {another princess themed birthday perhaps}!
