Liberty's Kids Complete Series #Giveaway #sponsored

Disclosure:  I received a copy of this DVD series for review purposes.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own and based upon my experience with the product.

As a former teacher, I am a huge supporter of quality programs that teach American history.  It is so important for them to learn not only historical facts, but the reasons behind our freedoms and the people who made them possible.  Liberty's Kids, an animated series for kids ages 7+, teaches Revolutionary War history in an exciting and entertaining way.

Revolutionary War History, animated series, dhx media, Mill Creek Entertainment

This historical tv series (released on DVD July 16th) brings history to life with guest voices of award-winning film legends like Annette Bening, Dustin Hoffman, Michael Douglas, Whoopi Goldberg, Liam Neeson and features the voice of news resporter Walter Cronkite as Benjamin Franklin.

Travel back in time with Benjamin Franklin’s teenage reporters as they confront the real and physical dangers of the American Revolution. Trapped in opposite sides of the war – James an American colonist and Sarah a young English reporter are forced to choose between friendship and allegiance to their countries. All while they try to look after mischievous Henri, a French boy whose comical escapades constantly lead to trouble. Journey through history and discover the high points of the American Revolution through this fun and animated educational adventure!

Kids get perspectives from both sides of the war and learn what it was like to be a part of a vital time in our nation's history.  It is engaging, informative, and has been nominated for Emmy and Humanitas Awards.  With a little over 14 hours and 40 episodes, Liberty's Kids is a great way to stave off summer boredom while keeping your kids learning!

I like that it's geared towards kids. History was one of my favorite subjects in high school and in college and I would love for my two granddaughters to start learning about and appreciating all that History teaches us as well.

I like that it teaches history in an exciting way. Truth be told, I hated history as a child. Who knows, I may love watching this with my kids and I can learn a thing or two!

I actually watched this show growing up and although it's not super accurate, I believe that it gives a new perspective on history. I love how educational and fun it is. Kids don't even remember that it's "real" sometimes because they are enjoying it so much.
