My blog readers know how much I love reading and supporting quality literature for children.  I'm very excited to let all of you know that I've been selected as a Tommy Nelson Mommy!  I'll be sharing some wonderful children's books, movies, and other resources from Thomas Nelson that will uplift and encourage you in raising your children in a Christian environment.

As a Tommy Nelson Mommy, I'll be receiving products to review and host giveaways each month.  For April, I have a wonderful book for the sweet little girl in your lifePrayers for Girls.

Thomas Nelson, toddler books, Christian gifts

This padded board book introduces little ones to the concept of prayer.  It has a side carry handle, colorful illustrations that appeal to toddlers and preschoolers, and rhythmical text.  The message is simple:  children can talk to God as a friend anywhere at any time.

The Attic baby is quite the little reader.  She loves sitting down to read this book with me (and by herself)!  I like that it's short enough to keep her attention and explains prayer on a level she can understand.  We often talk about friends; she is learning how God is a friend that loves her and wants her to talk to Him daily.  She is just learning to pray at meal times, and as she grows, will hopefully make prayer a part of her nightly routine.

Don't have a girl?  There's also a book geared towards that special little boy in your life: Prayers for Boys.

Both books make an excellent addition to your home or church library.

Prayers for Girls and Prayers for Boys are available on the Thomas Nelson Website for $6.99.

I'd love this book for my little girl! I think it would be a great way to introduce prayer and the fact that she can pray and that it doesn't have to be mommy and daddy!

I would give this to my boys. I read to them every night out of the bible and bible stories and we are almost through with one of our books and could use a new one to read them!

Hello, I think that children should be taught to pray, sometimes as an adult I don't know how to pray. so maybe these books will make them more confident in their prayer lives. I have a friend with 2 little girls that I will give this too. Thank you. Vicki
