BISSELL CleanView Vacuum One Pass Technology

3/7/13
When you have an active two year old at home and a teenage boy, there are bound to be messes.  I spend a lot of time cleaning up throughout the day.  One of my least favorite chores is vacuuming for a few reasons: it's monotonous, time consuming, and my old vac is heavy and difficult to carry up and down the stairs.

Our home is a mix of carpet and hard wood.  Our main floor (dining room & kitchen) is mostly hard wood, but our family room is carpeted.  My toddler navigates both areas throughout the day, leaving a trail of food that Hansel & Gretel would be proud of.

So when I had the opportunity to test out the BISSELL CleanView Vacuum, I was excited to see if this vacuum would make clean up time a little easier.

Putting together the vacuum was hubby's job, since I am not really good at piecing things together.  He used the instructions (yes, some men actually read them!) and had it together in about ten minutes.

You'll need a screwdriver to attach the handle with the enclosed screws.  Then follow the directions to properly attach the hoses and the accessories.  It wasn't as complicated as I imagined it might be.

There are several attachment included:  a turbo brush for stairs or furniture, a crevice tool for those hard to reach spots, and an extension wand.

The first test was on the stairway area.  The carpet at the base of the stairs sees a lot of foot traffic and gets pretty dirty.

The BISSELL CleanView sucked up quite a bit of dirt for a small area.  The filter is fairly easy to remove and is washable.  The dust cup is also easy to empty as you can see in this clip.

For our second test, we dumped the dirt from the dust cup onto the hardwood floor. It's simple to adjust to bare floor mode. You can see the OnePass Technology in action in the clip below.

Features I Love:
vacuum cleaner
*Easy Assembly
*Light Weight
*Powerful suction
*OnePass Technology
*Easy empty of the dust cup
*No bags to change
*Settings for Bare Floor or Carpet
*Attachments including 4" Turbobrush tool for stairs & upholstery,  10" crevice tool, upholstery tool and 11" extension wand
*Hepa filter and washable foam tank filter

Overall, I think this vacuum lives up to its claims.  It's light weight, making it easier to bring up and down the stairs.  I love the fact that I don't have to replace bags and can simply dump the cup when it is full; this is a money saver.   And it saves me time because of its powerful suction that cleans in just one pass.

My husband thinks that this vacuum gives me a sense of accomplishment because I can see all the dirt and gunk that I was able to remove from the floors.   It's good to know that my toddler is playing on a cleaner floor.  Plus removing all that dust and dirt helps reduce my allergy and asthma symptoms.  The BISSELL CleanView offers excellent performance at a price that is very affordable for a family on a budget.
