Aloha Friday: Cukes

Here is how Aloha Friday works from Kailani's blog An Island Life:

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

I love salad! One of my favorite things to add to my salad is cucumbers. I always wash and peel them before adding them to the salad.

My Question For You This Week: Do you peel your cucumbers? What about other veggies; skin or not?

I don't peel my cucumbers, the only thing I really peel is carrots, onions and potatoes

It depends on how I'm using them I guess, but just to eat, I leave the peel on.

I love cucumbers but nowadays, since my surgery, I have to be careful about eating things that are harder to digest. So I take the skins off :-)

If the cucumber is too waxy then I'll peel it. most veggies here in America is just waxy.

Same reason I peel my apples.

I do! But I don't peel things like zucchini and summer squash when I cook them.
