General Mills Sweet N Salty Snacks Review and Giveaway

Does the man in your life like to snack on something salty and/or sweet?

We received some Sweet and Salty snacks from General Mills to sample.  My hubby and I tried out these three General Mills snacks:  Nature Valley Oats 'N Dark Chocolate crunchy granola bars, Bugles Hot Buffalo, and  Cocoa Puffs Triple Chocolate treats.

His favorite were the Nature Valley Oats 'N Dark Chocolate granola bars.  They were crunchy and sweet and were a delicious snack to satisfy your sweet and salty tooth!  My favorite was the Cocoa Puffs Triple Chocolate treat; it was so chocolaty good that I had it as a breakfast bar in the morning.  My hubby's least favorite was the Bugles Hot Buffalo snacks.  He said that he would have preferred to eat a hot wing than to eat a snack flavored with hot buffalo sauce.

All of these snacks are convenient to take with you whether you're off to work or family activities.  You can find them exclusively at convenience stores.

We have a persnickety cat who thinks he's a dog. You cannot leave bread out at any time or he will snatch it off tables, counters, even out of grocery bags. We also have a pampered pooch who thinks she's a lap dog even though she's too big to fit in your lap. I love them both despite their quirks.

All That And a Bucket of Chicken

Sunday, as you know, was Mother's Day. Although I didn't get to spend it with my own mom (she lives about 11 hours away), I did have a special day with my family.

I had a wonderful surprise when I woke up. My hubby bought my favorite chocolate frosted donuts with sprinkles. It was a delicious treat!

Later, my son presented me with a wooden tissue box that he painted blue and decorated with sunflowers (my favorite flower) and it said "I Love You Mom!" on the front. It was a very thoughtful and much needed gift, as my allergies have been acting up and the tissues came in handy with all the sneezing and nose-blowing. I'd show you a photo of it, but I need to get some batteries for my camera. I also got some beautiful yellow flowers to sit on my table.

We also went to the park. The original plan was to have a bucket of KFC chicken and picnic there. But the wind was crazy so my son and hubby played some football, we walked around a bit, and then we got chicken on the way home. There's nothing like some KFC chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy on the side!

I feel very loved and very blessed to have these men in my life!
