Aloha Friday: Spring Sneezy Peezy

3/12/10

Here is how Aloha Friday works from Kailani's blog An Island Life:

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

I like Spring, don't get me wrong. I love flowers, birds, warmer weather, and outdoor activities. But along with it comes allergy season. It is my least favorite thing about spring. I have gone through so many tissues my nose feels like crisp thin crust pizza despite being armed with Claritin and snuffing Nasonex.

My Question For You This Week: Do you have this problem and if so, what do you do to cope with allergies?

Last year I suffered from the worst allergies ever-- and Ive never had them before.

I had a terrible cough that just would not go away for at least 2 months!

So far nothing this year--- fingers crossed... but last year they gave me a nasal spray and claratin... they seemed to work but the claratin made me so drowsy.

I am so sorry to hear that your allergies are acting up... *hands over a tissue box*

Hope I'm not going to jinx myself but so far nothing like that for me.My son however different story.
Also my FIL has bad allergies and his doctor told him to take the OTC Mucinex everyday. He swears it works but that it costs A LOT even with his insurance covering part of it.

I have massive allergies, and they took my favorite brand from the market. I stick to Tylenol Allergy now.

Yes, I get nasal allergies as well as hives. I'm always taking something! Hope yours gets better!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a great weekend!

I didn't suffer from pollen allergies until last year. It has to do with where we live now, the pollen count here in NC is really high. My kids and I suffered from it, but my husband didn't. I remember taking benadryl, but not often, only when it got pretty bad.

I don't have much problem this time of year, more so at the beginning of summer.

Pollens can be a bugger to deal with. Hubby gets allergies bad. I only get them in late summer when the sage flowers.

Stuff could always be worse said...

Yes I love Spring but not the allergy problems, mine are not bad, so I cannot give any advice.

I'm sorry you have to deal with allergies! I am lucky to not have allergies! My husband does have them and they are bad when the springtime comes! I feel so bad for him! He doesn't do much besides try some over the counter meds that never seem to work!
Thanks for visiting my blog today! :)
Have a great weekend!

I've always suffered with allergies, but living here in GA they have NEVER been this bad! Plus they say that it's been much worse over the past couple of years than at any time on record! (Naturally!)

How do I cope? Kleenex. Lots and lots of kleenex! nothing even touches my allergies.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes! I hope yours next week is as wonderful as mine :)

As far as allergies, I don't normally have a problem. Thank goodness! :)

Have a good weekend.

I take allergy medicine. It's the only thing that works for me.

By the way, how did you get your pages set up like that at the top? I've been trying to figure out how to do it on my blog and am having a difficult time figuring it out.

Well, I don't have a problem, but my son does, which means I have a BIG one! We had it decently under control, but then he had surgery, and now we are at the adjustment game again!
