Skin MD Natural Review & Giveaway

1/5/10

I have been washing my hands constantly this winter to avoid the spread of germs. Over the past couple of weeks with bronchitis, I have probably washed my hands at least 5 times a day. All that washing has made my hands feel like the skin of a reptile.

When I was asked to try out Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion, I was excited to find out if this product would help out my very dry hands!

I applied the lotion after each hand washing. It has a light, non-greasy feel and a very light clean scent. What I liked the most about this lotion is that it did not make me break out in a rash or hives. A lot of perfumed scented lotions cause me to break out and itch because of my sensitive skin and eczema. After using it for a couple of days, I noticed that my dry skin began to improve and feel healthy again. I just need to apply it once or twice a day to maintain my skin's softness.

It is a bit pricey compared to other lotions. It is $18 for a 4 oz bottle, but according to their website, this bottle should last 1 to 2 months with daily use.

Some benefits of Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion:

*Non-greasy
*Hypoallergenic
*Fragrance and Colorant Free
*Paraben Free
*No Animal Products & Testing

I like the idea of it being a "Shielding Lotion".
My feet crack because they are so dry.
I would love to try this product to see if it helps my feet.

Skin MD Natural makes such versatile products! They are good for exzema, psoriasis and good ol' dry skin. It moisturizes six times better than products containing glycerin, which is amazing, AND the same product can be used BY THE WHOLE FAMILY on both face AND body!! What's not to love about that?!

i learned that there is a protective layer on the skin that moisturizes the skin and keeps it from damage and it can be stripped away from constant hand washing, which i do a lot of. Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion repairs and maintains this layer to protect the hands through proprietary 'super' humectants. these are all new to me. thanks for the learning opportunity. i hope i win! fungb01@hotmail.com

In order for the skin to heal and return to its healthy condition you have to seal in the moisture and oils that are below the outer layer of skin and protect it from the irritants in the environment

I learned that a shielding lotion keeps moisture-robbing irritants away from the skin while the proprietary "super" humectants hydrate the skin throughout the day.
